Dr. Asaf Alkalay was born in Jerusalem, Israel. He studied Veterinary Medicine at Bologna University and graduated with a DVM degree in 2004 and continued his training in a small-animal clinic for two years.
In 2006 he opened his own veterinary practice in Givatayim and in 2010
he opened a second clinic in Florentine Tel Aviv, that started as a small veterinary practice and became through hard work and dedication a high-caseload veterinary hospital with a large and
professional team of six doctors alongside veterinary technicians and assistants delivering the highest standard of care.
In 2017, after intensive training in the UK, Dr. Alkalay gained a postgraduate certificate in small animal diagnostic imaging, becoming a certified radiologist.
In 2020 he achieved the highest level of a long-term professional development – becoming a Board Certified Specialist, Diplomate ABVP in Canine and Feline Practice, by the
American Board of Veterinary Practitioners.
Dr. Alkalay is currently the medical director of the Florentine Veterinary Hospital and Givatayim Vet clinic.
